Happy Birthday Samuel!

Yesterday (8th May) was Samuel's 15th Birthday. It was a school day, but after school we took him to pizza hut for some tea! Lewis hadnt been to school as he's not really well, he's not 'ill' as such, but he's just not himself. He's listless and sleeping alot, and having temperature fluctuations (going very hot and blotchy for no reason on and off) and so we felt it would be better to keep him home from school, but we didnt want him to miss Samuel's birthday tea! So even though he didnt feel too good, Lew did enjoy seeing Samuel having a fun time! We were lucky enough to be joined by some of our good friends. Debbie came with Matthew (above) and baby Ethan. Kirsty (above with Matthew) is our friend and is also Matthew's carer before and after school. Here is Lewis asleep on the garden swing yesterday afternoon. Here is Lewis playing with Matthew on the floor at Debbie's house. Matthew is very mobile and can roll his body from side to side. Lewis found this very amusing! Below is a lovely photograph taken last week of Samuel and Maisie. Maisie and Oliver had been round to play and I just caught this shot of them messing about outside the conservatory! I love this picture! So back to Samuel's birthday party (all the photos have got mixed up!). Here is Kirsty troffing some pizza ... I think she saved a tiny speck for her fiance Alastair who was at work!
Here is Lewis with Daddy and with his friend Luke. Here is Samuel having a cuddle with gorgeous baby Ethan (Matthew's new baby brother!). Ethan got lots of attention and got passed around the table quite alot!!! Matthew was very relaxed!! So much so that he had his feet up!! Here we are waiting for our food! We were all STARVING!!! Ethan was definitely the star of the afternoon! Here he is with his mum Debbie.
Lewis enjoyed watching Luke playing with Daddy! Ethan having a cuddle with Lewis' granny, Marion.
Below, Lewis' grandad fell asleep at the table and we tried to get a photograph, but then he woke up again!! We had a lovely day, Samuel really enjoyed his pizza and having good company. He got some lovely presents. Thank you very much to postpals Sian and Jamie for his card and the fab belt! And thank you to postpal Leona for the lovely birthday card. Thank you to postpals Caz and Declan for the card and the money!! And thank you very much Karen (Sami) for the card and present which arrived today - Samuel will get that when he gets home from school so we dont know what it is yet!!!

The Lewis Jeynes Fund

The Lewis Jeynes Fund was established to provide care and support to Lewis Jeynes and the success of the Fund has meant that we have also been able to purchase specialist equipment for other children with undiagnosed neurologically degenerative conditions in Doncaster and the UK.

Lewis and his friends around the UK all suffer from acute and undiagnosed life limiting or terminal conditions and very often specialist equipment is difficult to afford due to the changed circumstances at home. This is where the Fund can provide vital assistance to those in need. All of the proceeds of the Fund go straight towards helping Lewis, and other children and families like him and us.

Contributions should be sent to The Lewis Jeynes Fund, 15 Kentmere Drive, Doncaster, DN4 5FL or by BACS to Nat West Bank, “The Lewis Jeynes Fund” Account No. 35662565 Sort Code 60 06 39. You can also go into your local Nat West Bank and pay into the Fund over the counter.

i love you much (most beautiful darling) by e.e.cummings

i love you much (most beautiful darling), more than anyone on the earth and i like you better than everything in the sky -sunlight and singing welcome your coming although winter may be everywhere with such a silence and such a darkness, no one can quite begin to guess (except my life) the true time of year - and if what calls itself a world should have the luck to hear such singing (or glimpse such sunlight as will leap higher than high through gayer than gayest someone's heart at your each nearness) everyone certainly would (my most beautiful darling) believe in nothing but love
