Fifi and Bumble

Today we met Fifi and Bumble from Fifi and the Flowertots http://www.fifiandtheflowertots.com/
Fifi and Bumble were at Lakeside Village and I think EVERYBODY was there to see them! It was packed! Lucky for us, we were able to walk, even though rain threatened all day but it didnt actually rain phew!
We walked to the Village with Denise, Maisie and Oliver, and we met Lesley, Kevin, Callum and Tobey while we were there which was great.
We also bumped into 2 of the nurses from the PAU at Doncaster so that was a nice surprise and we also saw Simon and Isaac for a little while.
We queued up for quite a while to see Fifi and Bumble, and when they came out, the entire shopping population of the Lakeside Village bombed over to where they were and the queue went a bit awry. We (Denise, Lesley, James and I) were somewhat vocal about the fact that we had been queueing for a while and that there was in fact still a queue although you couldnt see it for the huge crowd of people who had tried to sneak in to it!
Maisie was soooooooo excited as she adores Fifi and has lots of Fifi toys! Lewis loves watching Fifi too, but I think more for Slugsy and Stingo than for girlie Fifi!
You know, even though its just normal people in suits, it was very touching and it felt real ... awwwwww!
Lew and Maisie got their pics taken but Oliver was TERRIFIED!!! He clung on to his mum!
Maisie was upset that she hadnt managed to have a proper hug with Bumble, so Denise took her back to look over the top of people who were waiting, and Maisie got a very special Bumble wave hooray!
We came home for some lunch (picnic on the dining table as the weather wasnt good enough for the picnic out that we had planned!) and the children had a great time on the trampoline - it really is so huge the whole street could fit on it!
It still hasnt rained, but its not reliable enough to put the washing out so it will have to stay stuck in the washing machine for another day!
BIG DAY TOMORROW for Samuel. He starts his SATs and its also .... HIS 14TH BIRTHDAY!!!!!
(That is a photograph of me and Samuel in May 1993!!!)
Enjoy the photographs, lots of love from all of us xxxx
PS. Thank you to our lovely lovely niece Daisy who is going to suggest to her school that they do a fund raising event for the Lewis Jeynes Fund. We'll watch out for more info on that.
And thank you SO MUCH to my great friend Angela for offering to put up with me for a few days at the end of this month for a little break.
And dont forget, we're being filmed by Calendar News again tomorrow so will probably be on at 6pm tomorrow evening.

The Lewis Jeynes Fund

The Lewis Jeynes Fund was established to provide care and support to Lewis Jeynes and the success of the Fund has meant that we have also been able to purchase specialist equipment for other children with undiagnosed neurologically degenerative conditions in Doncaster and the UK.

Lewis and his friends around the UK all suffer from acute and undiagnosed life limiting or terminal conditions and very often specialist equipment is difficult to afford due to the changed circumstances at home. This is where the Fund can provide vital assistance to those in need. All of the proceeds of the Fund go straight towards helping Lewis, and other children and families like him and us.

Contributions should be sent to The Lewis Jeynes Fund, 15 Kentmere Drive, Doncaster, DN4 5FL or by BACS to Nat West Bank, “The Lewis Jeynes Fund” Account No. 35662565 Sort Code 60 06 39. You can also go into your local Nat West Bank and pay into the Fund over the counter.

i love you much (most beautiful darling) by e.e.cummings

i love you much (most beautiful darling), more than anyone on the earth and i like you better than everything in the sky -sunlight and singing welcome your coming although winter may be everywhere with such a silence and such a darkness, no one can quite begin to guess (except my life) the true time of year - and if what calls itself a world should have the luck to hear such singing (or glimpse such sunlight as will leap higher than high through gayer than gayest someone's heart at your each nearness) everyone certainly would (my most beautiful darling) believe in nothing but love
