Hippy Barfday Samuel 14 Today!!!

Got to get this done quick so Nicky can look at it before she goes to bed! So HI NICKY! Dont forget to clean your teeth after that chocolate cake! So today was Samuel's 14th Birthday! He had his cards and presents this morning before he went to school. Unfortunately I was zonked in bed with Lew so we missed it! He had his SAT in Science today - he says it went okay so fingers crossed for a good result for him. When he came home, some more cards and another present had arrived. Thank you SO MUCH Postpals and Kate Dee for Samuel's birthday cards. And thank you WOW Aunty Lucy for the guitar! Samuel has never played a guitar before so we're definitely on a learning curve here but let's see what happens, eh?!! We may have the next rock star sat upstairs this minute playing on his ... you guessed it XBOX!!! He also got Night at the Museum DVD, Appleseed DVD, a graphic novel, some money, a super duper super mega webcam from James and I (as well as the biggest trampoline in the world haha) and the most awesome chocolate cake from Denise!!!! In fact, Denise's chocolate cake is famous!!! He got a lovely card that Livia made for him, thank you Livia! Munmun made him some sweetcorn and tuna pasta (just for Samuel) an Olya made him some Ukrainian delicacies - yummmmm! Lew had a great time watching all the children jumping about on the trampoline, he does love to have other children around! Later on, I took Lew on the trampoline - he wasnt sure at first but then he loved it! Earlier today, Marie had arrived to get Lew bathed and dressed, and Calendar arrived around 10.30am. Jodie came over as well to see Lew as (apart from some exams) she has now FINISHED SCHOOL!!! She can start her job working with Lew when she turns 16 in August. While Calendar were here, Marie hid in the kitchen doing some ironing (thank you Marie!). The filming was quite traumatic for us as we talked about how we feel after our visit to Great Ormond Street Hospital and hearing that there isnt much they can do for Lew. The programme was broadcast this evening on Calendar News in Lincolnshire and will be broadcast in Doncaster tomorrow night at 6pm on ITV on Calendar News.
We went to Tesco and Lew tried to steal Miss Jodie's Pan au Chocolat!
Now everybody has gone home and its all quiet and peaceful! It really has been a rollercoaster day with upset over talking about Lew and then happiness and enjoyment with Samuel's birthday tea. And the excitement isnt over for Samuel yet! On Saturday, Lesley and Kevin have invited him to go to the cinema to see Spiderman 3 and then for some food after with Callum and Tobey so that will be great! I bet Samuel is hoping they will go to Pizza Hut so he can have the pizza we had on Sunday! So ... if you havent seen Calendar already (we havent!) then watch out for it tomorrow evening.

Hi all

Happy Birthday Samuel - 14! I hope that you have had a lovely day. The trampoline looks really cool and the cake yummy.

You look like you have shot up in height since we saw you last!

All our love to all of you. The girls are excited about their birthdays on Friday and the following Thursday and we have all the family round on Sunday.

We miss you all and are always thinking of you.

Love

The Lewis Jeynes Fund

The Lewis Jeynes Fund was established to provide care and support to Lewis Jeynes and the success of the Fund has meant that we have also been able to purchase specialist equipment for other children with undiagnosed neurologically degenerative conditions in Doncaster and the UK.

Lewis and his friends around the UK all suffer from acute and undiagnosed life limiting or terminal conditions and very often specialist equipment is difficult to afford due to the changed circumstances at home. This is where the Fund can provide vital assistance to those in need. All of the proceeds of the Fund go straight towards helping Lewis, and other children and families like him and us.

Contributions should be sent to The Lewis Jeynes Fund, 15 Kentmere Drive, Doncaster, DN4 5FL or by BACS to Nat West Bank, “The Lewis Jeynes Fund” Account No. 35662565 Sort Code 60 06 39. You can also go into your local Nat West Bank and pay into the Fund over the counter.

i love you much (most beautiful darling) by e.e.cummings

i love you much (most beautiful darling), more than anyone on the earth and i like you better than everything in the sky -sunlight and singing welcome your coming although winter may be everywhere with such a silence and such a darkness, no one can quite begin to guess (except my life) the true time of year - and if what calls itself a world should have the luck to hear such singing (or glimpse such sunlight as will leap higher than high through gayer than gayest someone's heart at your each nearness) everyone certainly would (my most beautiful darling) believe in nothing but love
