Postpals

Today's word! Postpals! Thank you to everybody who has put the word Postpals on the Wall of Words! We are in the top 10 but to stay there, we need lots more people to add Postpals as their favourite word! Less than 10,000 words needed by the end of this month for that first mile of words so please if you havent already, add Postpals to the wall of words, keep us in the top 10, and help to unlock £50,000 for 'I Can' - a great charity helping disabled children to communicate. So, what have we been up to? Well after my barney yesterday, I had a good nights sleep and woke up in a right state! Woke up late, disorganised, disorientated, and ready to go back to bed!!!! Poor Lew missed out on his bath this morning as we were running so late, I wore a really dodgy mish mash of clothes as I havent had chance to do any ironing and I was just grabbing what was in the wardrobe (ie. stuff I never wear arrghhh!). I even ended up wearing Samuel's jacket! At least I had ironed Lewis' and Samuel's clothes so they were okay! We got to group a bit late!!! We were lucky to find a parking space that wasnt 300 miles away from the hospital! We are waiting for Lewis' disabled badges to arrive but there has been an admin 'pile up' at the council and so Lew's badges are delayed. But ... good news! Our new car (motability) is ready for collection on Monday - whohoooooooo! We had the best time at group today. Lew so enjoyed it, it was super busy. I had to pop out to go and see the doctor so I could get some more tablets (for my depression) and then I stayed for a bit after the group chatting to Rachel, Jill and Lynda. I had planned to go to musical minis at 1.30pm but I decided to pop in to see how Sahn and Jin Qui were and ended up staying for tea!!! Sahn is soooooo much better! The difference is amazing! Well, her name is Sahn but the hospital and the doctors called her Zi - dont know why! Anyway, she is so much better, and it was great to see her! Jin Qui is also doing well, much happier now that Sahn is feeling better and showing improvement. Jane was as chatty as ever -in fact more so if thats possible!! I popped home to collect Samuel so he could join us for tea, and Jin Qui's 2 friends helped to prepare our chinese feast! Samuel was so good, I was so impressed with him. He used his chopsticks expertly and he tried EVERYTHING - even the fish that still had its head and eyes intact!!! Jin Qui had got Lew a birthday present - a singing and dancing pig! It is so cute, and Lew loves it! Oh and talking of birthday presents - I will do thank you cards I promise - it will just take me a while to get round to that! We got home just after 7pm (a bit late for Lew but we dont stay out late often) and he went straight to bed, sooooo tired! So he'll have a bath in the morning! I was hoping for a bit of a lie-in tomorrow but alas no! We have portage coming at 10am to assess Lew, then Jayne (Homecare) is coming at 10.30am then at 1pm we have hydro at DRI! Aarrgghhh I have to find my swimming costume again! A quick hello to all our friends who we have not really had chance to say hello to recently, we've been sooooo busy! So hello everybody - sorry if I havent texted back when you've taken the time to text us, or emailed back when you've taken the time to email us - but I will get around to it, I promise! Oh and I will get round to posting Lew's birthday party pics too!!!

Hi Sam! It`s Olga. How are you doing? Have you saved my new mobile number? The old one is now officially cancelled.
Do you fancy coming Friday night for a cup of tea? I also have packed some clothes for Lewis.
By the way, while Richard is in America, we should convince Teresa to have a massage party in her house with your gorgeous man (Ian is it?).Chris said that NO F***ING MAN IS MASSAGING HIS WIFE IN HIS HOUSE, can you believe it?

The Lewis Jeynes Fund

The Lewis Jeynes Fund was established to provide care and support to Lewis Jeynes and the success of the Fund has meant that we have also been able to purchase specialist equipment for other children with undiagnosed neurologically degenerative conditions in Doncaster and the UK.

Lewis and his friends around the UK all suffer from acute and undiagnosed life limiting or terminal conditions and very often specialist equipment is difficult to afford due to the changed circumstances at home. This is where the Fund can provide vital assistance to those in need. All of the proceeds of the Fund go straight towards helping Lewis, and other children and families like him and us.

Contributions should be sent to The Lewis Jeynes Fund, 15 Kentmere Drive, Doncaster, DN4 5FL or by BACS to Nat West Bank, “The Lewis Jeynes Fund” Account No. 35662565 Sort Code 60 06 39. You can also go into your local Nat West Bank and pay into the Fund over the counter.

i love you much (most beautiful darling) by e.e.cummings

i love you much (most beautiful darling), more than anyone on the earth and i like you better than everything in the sky -sunlight and singing welcome your coming although winter may be everywhere with such a silence and such a darkness, no one can quite begin to guess (except my life) the true time of year - and if what calls itself a world should have the luck to hear such singing (or glimpse such sunlight as will leap higher than high through gayer than gayest someone's heart at your each nearness) everyone certainly would (my most beautiful darling) believe in nothing but love
