Hello and Happy New Year. We have just arrived back from the Chinese Church after a wonderful service, a very moving sermon and lots of lovely Chinese food!!
I didnt think we would be able to make it as Lewis had a bad night, hence so did I. He is feeling very poorly so is dosed up with calpol and nurofen and I think I know how he feels as I also have a sore throat, aching body and an erratic nose (blocked then runny!). Hopefully Lew will shake the infection off quickly and his antibiotics will help.
Jodie came with us to the Chinese Church and although it was a very new experience for her, I dont think it was a negative one! Jodie found it very good, but difficult to understand. I have found that the more time I spend with my Chinese friends, the easier it is to understand their English. And Jin Qui's English is improving all the time! Jane (Jin Qui's 4 year old daughter) went on the stage to sing a song in Chinese and everybody loved to hear her! She is very confident! Some of the other children performed, we had a piano recital, some ceilidh dancing and some singing and music. I received a new year blessing. Jin Qui's husband gave a very moving speech about Sahn and how she was on a ventilator and the doctors advised them to switch it off, and how Sahn started to move and breath for herself and what a miracle it was.
As for Lewis - well he slept through most of it!!!!!
So now we are chiling on the sofas watching Winnie the Pooh and all very tempted to have an afternoon snooze!
Happy Birthday Jodie (the other Jodie) - she is nearly 30 (haha she's 24 I think!) and it is her birthday today.
