Sundays sundays sundays

Well, had a great day yesterday! We went into town on Saturday morning for a look around the shops and then we went to the theatre to see The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Lew had such a great time, he loved it! And we met some of our friends who we havent seen for ages! Karen was there with William and Bethany and Emily and Elisha! Lewis was so excited to see them and we had a lovely chat and a cuddle during the interval! Lewis particularly liked the special light effects during the performance, the sparkly lights and beams and of course the wonderful sounds! He could see the stage, and enjoyed that as well, but it really was the sensory parts that got to him the most! After the theatre we went to Tesco for some shopping. Lew does love to go shopping as he sees lots of people to smile at! While at Tesco, I bought a jar of stage 1 babyfood to try Lewis and he LOVED it! We didnt give him the whole jar, just a few spoonfuls, but he so enjoyed the sensation of eating and he managed the swallowing very well! At 7pm he went to bed, sooooo tired after a very busy day! After Lew was in bed, I popped up to Olga's to drop off a balloon and a card for Ilya to say 'get well soon' after his tonsil surgery. I had intended to leave the balloon and card on the doorstep as a surprise, but they caught me so I went in for a cup of tea! Later, I went across to Denise and Jon's for a lovely chinese take away and lots of chatting. It was very very relaxing! Just what we needed! This morning we got up at 10am ... these lie ins are getting to be a habit! Best not lay in tomorrow as we have playgroup at DRI! We watched some TV and Lew had a bath. Then James came home from football and we went to B&Q to buy a fire surround for the fire we bought 3 years ago (!) and also a light for the soon to be built conservatory! We've had a very very lazy afternoon ... just sat watching TV in the warm ... its soooooo cold outside! Lewis received a lovely present from a postpal yesterday - a bright orange spinner thing that hangs from the ceiling and twirls around! It goes brilliantly with his blacklight as the blacklight makes the orange glow very bright! Lewis has also received several lovely emails - thank you very much for our emails from Joseph, Ele and family (Joseph has VACTERL association) and also thank you from Miharu, Michuru and Mirai and their mum Izumi who are in Mexico! Thank you also to Laura (lawse) who we are hoping will be able to come and visit us some time next month! And a quick date for your diaries for those of you who know us personally and live close by: Lewis' 3rd birthday party, Wednesday 28th February 2007, 4.30pm to 6.30pm - puppet show and entertainment Please mums and dads bring a contribution to the buffet (just let me know beforehand if you are bringing sweet or savoury) Also, as we are saving for sensory equipment for Lewis' new room, please no presents, but if you would like to contribute towards our fund for sensory equipment, that will be very gratefully received!

Sounds like you have had such a lovely weekend! So much fun and relaxing! It's good you are getting some down time too.

We will REALLY try to be at Lew's birthday, if we are here & we are ALL well! I have no idea what I am doing for Joel's birthday yet. Better get my thinking cap on! He talks about it being his birthday every day!

Well, sending you lots of love as always. Take care!

The Lewis Jeynes Fund

The Lewis Jeynes Fund was established to provide care and support to Lewis Jeynes and the success of the Fund has meant that we have also been able to purchase specialist equipment for other children with undiagnosed neurologically degenerative conditions in Doncaster and the UK.

Lewis and his friends around the UK all suffer from acute and undiagnosed life limiting or terminal conditions and very often specialist equipment is difficult to afford due to the changed circumstances at home. This is where the Fund can provide vital assistance to those in need. All of the proceeds of the Fund go straight towards helping Lewis, and other children and families like him and us.

Contributions should be sent to The Lewis Jeynes Fund, 15 Kentmere Drive, Doncaster, DN4 5FL or by BACS to Nat West Bank, “The Lewis Jeynes Fund” Account No. 35662565 Sort Code 60 06 39. You can also go into your local Nat West Bank and pay into the Fund over the counter.

i love you much (most beautiful darling) by e.e.cummings

i love you much (most beautiful darling), more than anyone on the earth and i like you better than everything in the sky -sunlight and singing welcome your coming although winter may be everywhere with such a silence and such a darkness, no one can quite begin to guess (except my life) the true time of year - and if what calls itself a world should have the luck to hear such singing (or glimpse such sunlight as will leap higher than high through gayer than gayest someone's heart at your each nearness) everyone certainly would (my most beautiful darling) believe in nothing but love
